HUYNH THY 15 YEARS OF CONNECTING FOR SUCCESS
Fifteen years may seem like a short time, but for Huynh Thy, it represents a remarkable journey of success, constant effort, and unwavering commitment to its mission: to be The Connector. We are proud to have a strong and reputable global partner network, a team of talented employees, and most importantly, the trust and confidence of our valued customers.
Huynh Thy’s 15-year journey can be divided into three significant phases:
Huynh Thy Trading and Services Co., Ltd. (Huynh Thy) was officially established at 96/26C, Street 5, Ward 17, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. Driven by the vision to deliver comprehensive and optimal solutions to the Vietnamese market, our two co-founders – Mr. Huynh Minh Tai and Ms. Duong Thi Hai Ly – embarked on this journey, transforming Huynh Thy into a prominent player in Vietnam and a reliable partner in the global arena.
Starting with compressed air solutions, Huynh Thy quickly established a strong reputation thanks to our strategic partnership with Atlas Copco (Sweden) and the success of our comprehensive, all-inclusive leasing service package. This achievement paved the way for Huynh Thy to expand our partnerships with other leading manufacturers, including Renner (Germany) and Kwangshing (Korea).
Simultaneously, our co-founders’ dedication and expertise led to Huynh Thy securing a key project: supplying container cranes from Mitsui E&S to Saigon Newport Corporation, marking the company’s entry into the port equipment sector.
A milestone in 2015 solidified Huynh Thy’s capabilities with the successful fabrication of the first Mitsui E&S container crane (RTG) in Vietnam.
Building on this momentum, Huynh Thy continued our expansion by entering the logistics industry and partnering with leading manufacturers such as Terberg, Hyundai, Daewoo, and UD to capture over 50% of the market share for terminal tractors and container road trucks.

During this phase, Huynh Thy’s compressed air division strengthened its brand, offering complete leasing solutions to meet the diverse needs of the industrial sector. We also launched a line of advanced construction equipment from Dynapac, Fiori, and Optimas.
To accommodate this rapid growth, Huynh Thy expanded into a four-member company group and inaugurated a new branch in My Xuan, Tan Thanh (now Phu My City). The showroom and workshop, built to European standards, provide excellent services for Cai Mep deep-water port, Cat Lai port, and nearby industrial parks, setting the stage for exponential growth.
Overcoming the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, Huynh Thy not only maintained our growth trajectory but also solidified our position by expanding our ecosystem with automation and green solutions such as Cavotec’s shore power systems and automated mooring systems, GlobalSims crane operator training simulators, and Visy’s smart port solutions. We further developed comprehensive and total solutions for the port industry.
Also, we invested in providing electric terminal tractors from Shacman and electric container lifting equipment. Besides, Huynh Thy also stepped into the automobile market with the MG premium showroom, starting the journey to popularize the automobile industry.
We also invested in the first Crane Operator Training Center, HSTC, offering a new way to train professional and efficient crane operators, and quickly gaining the trust from the customers.

At the milestone of our 15th anniversary, the Management Board decided to designate March 22nd as the annual Family Day in order to appreciate the contributions of our team members and families, strengthen bonds, boost motivation, and spread the Huynh Thy spirit.

The first Huynh Thy Family Day takes place on March 22, 2025, to honor all members for their contributions. This is also an opportunity to appreciate the family members of our employees, who are always supportive, understanding, sharing, and trusting, to enable all of us to write the success story named Huynh Thy.
