U-ONE is a universal encoder system developed by Johannes Hübner Giessen, a leading expert in shaft encoding and monitoring. It is designed for heavy industrial applications such as ship-to-shore (STS) cranes, rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes, steel and cement plants, and mining operations.

U-ONE Generation I – Basic Unit

The basic units of the first generation of the U-ONE universal encoder system determine the position and speed directly on the application shaft.
The information about angular position and speed is transmitted to the U-ONE decoder module in the switchboard via two fiber optic cables without interference.

The basic units are suitable for use in new plants as well as for modernization solutions. No additional mechanical components such as transfer couplings, transfer cases or speed increase gears are required.
The basic units are optionally available safety certified up to SIL 2 / PL d.
