Since early May 2025, Tan Cang Cat Lai Port has officially received and put into operation four (04) modern Hybrid Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes.
This morning, March 1, 2024, 04 MITSUI E&S E-RTG cranes departed from the factory in Oita Prefecture, Japan, heading to Tien Sa Port, Da Nang. These 04 E-RTG cranes are part of the investment project for the development of the back-up yard behind Berths No. 4 and 5 at Tien Sa Port, for which Huynh Thy and MITSUI are honored to serve as the project suppliers.
On November 30, 2023, Huynh Thy Group and Mitsui E&S engineers finalized the connection, calibration, load testing, and operational training for the final 09 RTG cranes at Long An International Port. On September 23rd, Huynh Thy marked a memorable milestone by completing the installation and handover of an additional STS crane to Tan Cang – Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal (TCTT).
The 06 modern RTG cranes were newly manufactured by MITSUI E&S – Japan, specifically designed for container handling operations in the container yard. The cranes are designed with a lifting capacity of 40.6 tons, a stacking height of 5+1, and a span of up to 6+1 container rows.
On March 26, 2018 at Quy Nhon Port, Huynh Thy Company completed handing over and acceptance of the 02 STS frame cranes and 05 RTG frame cranes project to Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company to put into operation.
