The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding – Huynh Thy Group and Hai Phong Port

On the morning of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, November 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration between Huynh Thy Trading Service Company Limited and Hai Phong Port Technical Vocational Training Company Limited, a subsidiary of Hai Phong Port, regarding the establishment of the Huynh Thy – Hai Phong Port Crane Training Center, was successfully held at the Hai Phong Port office.

The purpose of this collaborative event between two prominent entities in the Vietnamese seaport sector is to work together in training high-quality students and awarding certificates for basic training and international training for the operation of STS and RTG container cranes. During the signing ceremony, both Huynh Thy and Hai Phong Port negotiated and expressed consensus on the terms outlined in the memorandum.

Participating in the signing ceremony, on behalf of Hai Phong Port Technical Vocational Training Company Limited, Mr. Phan Anh Tuan, the Chairman and Director of the company, attended. Representing Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company were Mr. Pham Hong Minh – Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Chu Minh Hoang – Deputy General Director, along with leadership representatives from various departments and affiliated centers.

Finally, on behalf of Huynh Thy Trading Service Company Limited, the presence of Mr. Do Thanh Dat – CEO and Mr. Huynh Hien – Director of External Relations was noted.

During the signing event, Mr. Do Thanh Dat, CEO of Huynh Thy Company, expressed profound gratitude to Hai Phong Port for facilitating this collaboration. He expressed hope that the establishment of the Huynh Thy – Hai Phong Port Crane Training Center, utilizing first-of-its-kind simulation technology in Vietnam, will set a new standard in the training and development of port industry personnel, especially those operating STS and RTG container cranes.

The Huynh Thy – Hai Phong Port Crane Training Center is a pioneering institution that integrates virtual reality technology into the training of maritime personnel. Utilizing a Full-mission Simulator system, the center provides an immersive learning environment, complemented by internationally standardized curriculum developed in collaboration with strategic partners Mitsui E&S and GlobalSim.

Simultaneously, speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Pham Hong Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai Phong Port, expressed hope that this collaborative event would leave a positive impact on the maritime workforce training sector in the future. He emphasized the synergy between Hai Phong Port’s long-standing operational tradition and training expertise, coupled with Huynh Thy’s technological strength and youthful innovation. The undeniable influence of both entities in the Vietnamese maritime industry adds significant value to this collaboration.

Mr. Minh also underscored the importance of investing in infrastructure, equipment, and human resource training. The signing of the memorandum of understanding today holds great significance, promising a breakthrough in maritime workforce training activities in Vietnam.

Also, on the same morning, the leadership teams of Hai Phong Port and Huynh Thy Company visited the traditional house of Hai Phong Port, extending congratulations to the collective of teachers and leaders of Hai Phong Port Technical Vocational Training Company Limited on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, November 20.

After exchanging ideas and delivering speeches, both parties officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Basic Terms of the Crane Operator Training Cooperation Contract. This collaborative event serves as the most tangible evidence of the commitment from both Huynh Thy Company and Hai Phong Port to enhance the position and operational quality of Vietnamese seaports through the application of technology and modernization in the training program.
